Frequently Asked Questions

-What kind of Fish will we be catching?

Depending on the season you can expect to catch one of the many varieties of Tuna, Mahi-Mahi, Ono (Wahoo), Blue Marlin, Striped Marlin,             and the occasional Spearfish (Hebi) or Sailfish. We also provide bottom fishing gear where you can expect to catch Snapper, Trevally,                     Barracuda, or even a Shark!

-Do you guarantee we will catch?

While we try our absolute hardest to get fish on the line as we want to catch just as bad as you,  we can not guarantee we will catch. The longer you are out there fishing the better your odds of catching, so we encourage at least the 6hr-8hr trip for best chances.

-What is provided?

We provide you with the top of the line Fishing Gear, Lures and Safety equipment. We also have coolers with Water and Soda.

-What should I bring?

Please bring any snacks and lunches that you would like. You are also welcome to bring beer on board.

-What is your catch policy?

Our most important priority is that you have an amazing experience, and if you are lucky enough to catch one, we will always send you home with fish! Here at Apex we have the most generous and liberal fish policy. Please remember that in Kauai, the catch belongs to the boat. But good news, with Apex Charters no matter how big the catch, you will always get fish! We will send you home with enough fish for you and your family to enjoy while you are on your trip in Kauai. On Shared Charters, if we catch, everyone will take home fish whether you were the one that caught or not. Our most important rule is that everyone always leaves happy! Please know, there are no companies that will ship fish back to the mainland for you. So please plan on enjoying your fresh catch while on island.

-What time should I arrive?
