Kauai Sport Fishing Report, 120lb Ahi

Aloha from Kauai! This week is Kauai Deep Sea Fishing Action, the bite has stayed hot. Weather has backed down to more of our common 10-12kt winds and 3-4ft seas. We have had several different Pelagic species hit the deck this week. To start we had a nice Yellowfin Tuna take down our long outrigger. This fish went for a solid reel screaming run. The fish dove deep and we gently worked it back in. Took about 35 minutes and this beautiful Ahi Tuna graced our deck. On some other trips we caught a variety of smaller yellowfin tuna, some skipjack tuna. Our Shared Fishing Charter on the May 25th landed 9 fish, including tuna variety and Mahi-Mahi. To start the week we had a Private Fishing trip land a really nice Wahoo. So the bite has stayed pretty consistent and we have hopes for it to get even better.
