Summer Fishing in Kauai

Aloha to all you Deep Sea Fisherman out there! Here is an update on the Kauai Fishing action for June & July. Summer is here and the bite is heating up! The summer weather has been an adventure so far. The seas have not been the smoothest, so we have been working hard for our catch. We had a solid stretch in June where the Ahi’s were gracing our deck nearly every trip. We were making contact with Blue Marlin about every other trip, mostly in the 200lb range. As we switched over to July, the Tunas slowed down a little but the Mahi-Mahi and SkipJack bite has stayed consistent. In the middle of July we took the family pictured in this post out, and we crushed it landing 13 Aku’s on the day. Looking forward into the rest of the summer...Our waters have been a little slower to heat up this year, so we are projecting August & September to be really efficient months for our Kauai Fishery. There will be big yellowfins swimming in the water and we should have a decent opportunity at catching something nearly every fishing trip.
